The Malacca Expatriate School (MES) is a fully registered, international school in Melaka. Established in 1980, MES provides a British, co-educational, International Curriculum to the expatriate and local community in Melaka.
MES is a warm, friendly, close-knit community. Students benefit from a high level of individual attention due to our low student:teacher ratio. In our school we celebrate the fact that learning is an adventure. Every child matters and gets a chance to be fully involved. Our students strive for high achievement and learn enthusiastically in a happy and secure environment.
The school actively encourages its pupils to develop as confident individuals with strengths across and beyond the academic curriculum. Activities such as school excursions, family day, school concerts and drama productions help to foster cooperation and team spirit.
MES is wholly committed to laying a firm foundation. We aim to give your child a first rate education which will prepare him/her for further education in Malaysia or elsewhere in the world. We are proud of the fact that our students have gone on to consistently perform well in other schools after attending MES.
The aim of the curriculum is to provide a high standard of education which is both enjoyable and stimulating. We do not have to fit the requirements of any particular national system, so we have been able to select some of the best education materials appropriate to primary education from the English speaking world.
Malacca Expatriate School follows the University of Cambridge IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) program which involves four stages, that is Cambridge Primary, Cambridge Secondary 1, Cambridge Secondary 2 and Cambridge Advanced. Students are allowed the flexibility to
